“Friendly and flexible”
Mark picked us up from our hotel and we could not have asked for a better day trip! The car was comfortable for a family of 4 and we drove a huge loop around Oahu, stopping at many beaches and sights. There were a few extra things we hadn’t known about, like the coffee place on the way to Dole, and he gave us some local knowledge along the way. We tried the shrimp, the shave ice, the chocolate cream pie, and the best of all was the donuts!! Plus we snorkelled at a few different places, including one with a turtle. This was all possible in one day only because the tour was tailored to what we wanted to do… it was a long day trip but so enjoyable and a great way to see a lot of the island. I can highly recommend Mark and his day trips, do some research about where you want to go and he will fit in as much as possible at a relaxed and friendly pace!
“The Best of the Best!!”
Mark was well informed, knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly and stopped often so we could get a better view for picture taking. We also made several stops to taste some of the local snacks (Malasadas) and (Spam Musubi) another stop for shaved ice at Kokonuts at Koko Head Marina. I doubt that many tours give you all that Mark did. In addition he took 18 or 20 photos with his camera and sent them via email to me and Margaret, my niece. We had a wonderful time, and if we ever go back Mark will again take us around.

This is the best option for when you want to look at something that is not on the normal tours, or want to get away from the masses on the other tours. Cruising around in the only 4 door convertible on the island, taking different routes and seeing different sites is an amazing way to see Oahu. Mark is very knowledgeable and a great companion. We loved the day. Driving around in a convertible was a big attraction for us, and someone else doing the driving was a big deciding factor. When we met Mark he asked us what we wanted to see – we had some ideas of our own and he also suggested some. The day was totally decided by us. We dictated how much time we spent at each place. Mark was so accommodating and happy to go at our pace. He had so much local knowledge to impart and a great CD collection – a soundtrack for the day. All in all an awesome day and we will definitely be ringing Mark when we come back next year.

Mark was recommended by a good friend who had taken the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed it too. Returning a year later with another couple we decided to hire Mark so no one had the responsibility of driving. Mark was flexible and allowed us to tailor the tour to what we wanted to do, and added in a few highlights we weren’t aware of. The tour took in samples of food around the island and we loved tasting our way around. We had a great day and I would recommend it for the freedom of not having to drive yourselves around!!

From the minute we were picked up outside our hotel, Mark gave us over and above service! His car is in immaculate condition and he was the best host. He not only has so much knowledge of Hawaii and so many suggestions for places you would never imagine, but he was polite, humorous and had an amazing selection of music which he played appropriate to every location. This was our third time to Honolulu and we thought we had experienced the whole island. It was only by chance I saw the flier for Hawaii Convertible Personal Tours. I spent 2 days with Mark touring all around the beautiful island of Oahu and it was, without doubt, the highlight of my visit. “Sensational”
Sensational scenery, special shops, superb surf spots – Mark knows them all. We had a magic day with him – eight wonderful hours being driven in his red convertible to places we never suspected existed, like backside views of Diamond Head, a fantastic North Shore coffee shop, the beautiful ground-based rainbows of Oahu – and places we knew of but never expected to visit, like locations from Elvis’ Blue Hawaii and the fabulous North Shore beaches. We even met John John Florence in the street in Haleiwa! Mark is super organised, very accommodating, very knowledgeable and an extremely easy guy to get on with. Definitely the highlight of our 10 days in Hawaii.

This was the most memorable and informative tour I have ever had. My daughter Debbie and I were so appreciative of the knowledge Mark shared with us, from the beginning freshly made donuts until we had to say goodbye. We had two wonderful days touring Oahu with Mark. I would recommend Hawaii Convertible Tours and Mark to anyone who wants a private tour of Oahu. As I sit on a crowded tour bus with 400 other cruise ship passengers, I can’t help comparing today’s tour with Mark’s private tour of Oahu. We went on tours including the North Shore, Pearl Harbor, beaches, Hanauma Bay, Diamond Head and Hawaiian historical sights. They were all fantastic! Mark tailored the tours to meet our needs and included lookouts, beaches, waterfalls, delicious food and stops not usually included in tours. “A Way to See Everything You Want When Short on Time!”
If you are unfamiliar with Oahu, limited on time, and want to see as much as possible, Mark is the person to hire. I spoke to him many months prior to our trip – very pleasant and obliging. Mark was able to take us to all the places we wanted to see and more without being rushed. If we chose to do this on our own there would have been no way to have seen all what we did. We were travelling as 3 couples and pre-booked 2 convertibles to see the North Shore. Mark picked us up and off we went, feeling pretty special in our flash convertibles. Absolutely loved it! Mark was fantastic – showing us the different tastes, smells and sights of Hawaii. We swam in a waterfall, snorkeled with turtles and ate at local restaurants. The girls’ driver Suzi was entertaining and interesting. I highly recommend you do this too – you won’t be disappointed!

I found Mark on TripAdvisor and so thankful I did!!! Our family of three only had 7 days to see Oahu and we wanted to make the best of it. After much reviewing of various personal day trips around Hawaii, we decided to go with Mark in his red Audi convertible – a great choice! You can’t beat hopping into this shiny red car and heading off to explore the island with the roof down and the wind blowing through your hair! Having been on a bus tour my previous trip and not wanting to drive, a personalized tour was the way to go. Hawaii Cabriolet Tours truly was the BEST choice. Mark is knowledgeable, personable and a steady driver which made for a fun and comfortable day on the road for us 2 girls! The balmy fresh breeze along the coast in a convertible was very relaxing. Great way to see the island – and so cool to drive around beautiful Hawaii in a red convertible. We were in town for a conference and had a day to spend, so we booked an all day tour with Mark. Riding around in a convertible with a tailored itinerary was perfect! Highlights were Hawaiian history at Iolani Palace, the North Shore to see the honu (green sea turtles), a dip in the waterfall at Waimea Valley (a MUST do), and sunset at Spitting Cave. A relaxing day with lots of personal touches. Ate amazing fish tacos and garlic shrimp at a local spot we would never have found, plus Leonard’s malasadas to close out our perfect day. My husband and I recently enjoyed a wonderful full day with Mark touring in his shiny red convertible and seeing the beautiful sights on Oahu! We really liked hearing the history about the various places. Mark is quite knowledgeable and makes it very interesting. We saw sea turtles up close, whales spouting in the distance, many amazing lookouts, parks and beaches, the highest waves ever on the North Shore, and Honolulu night lights from atop a mountain on a beautiful clear night. My wife and I spent the BEST DAY of our 10-day Hawaiian trip with Mark and Hawaii Cabriolet Tours. They do not get any better than Mark… period. He delivered from start to finish and we felt relaxed and not rushed the entire time. My Mom, sister and I were in Oahu for just one day and what a great day it was! Mark picked us up from Pearl Harbor in style and with hot yummy donuts. He was so knowledgeable about Hawaiian history and knew all the great out-of-the-way spots. He showed us the true Oahu. Not only a great tour guide but a great photographer – our pictures were amazing. Also loved that he took us to eat where the locals eat. By the time he dropped us off at the airport we felt like we were leaving family!!
Mark is a wonderful human being, full of details – he proposes attractions, but you yourself can build your ride with the sites that interest you. Mark is very learned and enriches the ride with anecdotes. He has a beautiful, very clean Audi convertible allowing a 360 degree view. Mark stops where you want. It is more expensive than a group tour but worth it: you manage where to go and how long to stay, roof up if it rains, no walks from parking lots, and Mark personally accompanies your walk. Mark is a perfect gentleman. During the ride Mark offers tasty Hawaiian juices and takes you to an excellent, clean, cheap lunch spot.

We love Hawaii Cabriolet Tours!!! Instead of a standard touristy tour on a crowded bus, Mark put together a tour tailored to our tastes, walking us through each spot and sharing history and insight you only get from a local. I did a lot of research before we came, but I never would have found even a fraction of the spots he took us to – truly hidden gems. It was especially nice with 2 small kids: as little or as much time as we wanted at each spot, never rushed. He took great pictures of us at every spot – like a vacation within our vacation! Truly a highlight of our trip!

We toured the SE part of Oahu with Mark in early March. My husband, 9 year-old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the sights, neighborhoods, historical places, snorkeling and Hawaiian ice. As a small group we covered tour spots much more efficiently, freeing time for out-of-the-way local things that were unique and fun. Mark was very patient with our daughter and even got her to snorkel for the first time! We really appreciated his love of history, knowledge and interesting background.

My wife and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary and rented a SmartCar – great, but we didn’t feel we had time to see all we wanted. A friend recommended Hawaii Cabriolet Tours. Mark started with a few questions and within minutes created a customized tour unique to our interests. We saw several things off the beaten path we would have missed. I think my husband enjoyed not having to worry about driving and yet seeing so many things! It’s hard to say what we liked best – the beach, the sunset locations, Pele’s chair, the state park overlooks, the Punchbowl… it was all great! Thank you again.
The tour was great! It was more personal than being on a big bus full of other tourists. We stopped for snacks and sightseeing whenever we wanted. The guide, Mark, is knowledgeable in the places and history of the island. He knows the behind-the-scenes places the typical tour may not go. It was fun and informative.
Cabriolet Tours is THE WAY to see Hawaii. Mark’s warm and friendly personality sets the tone for a great experience. He showed us things we would never have discovered on our own along with fascinating history of the island. At the same time we could go where we wanted and stop where we liked for as long or short as we liked. This tour was the highlight of our Hawaiian vacation.

His historical background information really enriched the tour and gave us great perspective. His tour was fun, and it brought Oahu to life. I highly recommend Mark’s tour of Oahu. Mark is knowledgeable, friendly, and funny – the perfect guide! I had been to Hawaii many times previously, and yet Mark had me discovering scenic parts of Oahu I never knew existed, like the most awesome aerial view of Honolulu. He parks on some side street, leads us down a narrow pathway, and suddenly before us: the Pacific Ocean, the back side of Diamond Head, magnificent cliffs, and a cave taking in and spitting out the crashing waves. We absolutely LOVED it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Mark. My wife was thrilled with the open top Cabriolet and I was happy because I did not have to rent a convertible. Mark is humorous, engaging, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable. We hiked Diamond Head Crater, saw Hanauma Bay and other main sites, plus off-the-beaten-path stops. Mark adapted the trip to our needs as we had an 18 month toddler. Next time we go back, we’ll have to hit Oahu just for this tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed Mark’s tour. The hike up Diamond Head was a great hike for our family, even with our five year old. We saw Hanauma Bay, played in the waves at Kailua Beach, and had a tasty lunch at Teddy’s Burger place. We really enjoyed driving through Honolulu neighborhoods and finding obscure little trails down to the ocean cliffs – gorgeous views of the ocean, waves crashing on the rocks, even watching guys diving off the cliffs. Totally stuff we’d never have found on our own. Mark is a fun, friendly guy, a natural tour guide.

Mark is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and pleasant! Our private car trip with him was very good and both my wife and I came away extremely happy with the trip – would definitely recommend him!! BTW – his Mercedes convertible is awesome too!
